It’s funny reading this through the lens of what has happened in my life since then. I am itching to revisit it and investigate the possibilities and the something else brooding in the background.
I know it’s currently in a different league to my other story - but I want it to reach its potential. Your edit has given me some concrete pointers but also stirred my imagination.
I really enjoyed this story, and adore how the parents click. I really hope to see the next phase of it, especially knowing how powerful you are with words today.

I loved that the turn was the parents clicked and the kids absolutely didn’t, but it smelled like thematically there was something deeper there unexplored. I know it’s an old piece, I was warned when she sent it, but also, I think that a new version would be fuckin’ boss.
I think I like the Italicized version the best too, but maybe I should do a poll. It certainly is the easiest to do when I just download the doc into word.
